The Distraction
I made this quilt through the fall and winter of 2023 during some long months of complications with the vision in my right eye. For part of this time, I was even sewing with my right eyelid taped down because the distortion in that eye was so distracting. I was grateful that I could still sew, which was in itself a blessed distraction and lifted me out of some gloomy and worrisome times.
