The Art of Quilting Green/em/strong (2008). /spanspan style="font-family:bookman old style,serif;"The ethic of frugality is, for me, one of the most endearing attributes of quilting. Over the years, /spanspan style="font-family:bookman old style,serif;"I have cut fabric scraps down to as small as 1.5 inches ndash; and have amassed (and used) thousands /spanspan style="font-family:bookman old style,serif;"of them. In this time of such global divisiveness, I was curious to see if I could apply the theme of /spanspan style="font-family:bookman old style,serif;"ldquo;play nice togetherrdquo; to a quilt./spanbr/ br/ span style="font-family:bookman old style,serif;"So here we have it, front and back, a total of 1,748 one-inch squares from all walks of fabric life: /spanspan style="font-family:bookman old style,serif;"Civil War and Thirties reproductions, shirtings, florals, traditional, contemporary, batiks, solids, /spanspan style="font-family:bookman old style,serif;"brights, wovens, and novelty. Theyrsquo;ve all been brought together in the hope that they will play nice /spanspan style="font-family:bookman old style,serif;"and help each other out in making a lovely keepsake quilt.
