These traditional churn dash blocks, mostly made from shimmery fabric left over from a church-commissioned project, remind me of the coats of arms on shields carried by knights in days gone by.

Yaya made this for the Hardy family soon after we returned from our trip to Disneyland. I hope it is a reminder of wonders, princesses, castles and magic!
