Man Quilt
Designed and pieced by Kathy Cracroft Wilhelmsen (Draper, Utah ndash; 2013)
Raurk asked me if I could make him a ldquo;puffyrdquo; quilt, extra-long to cover his feet. I was able to gather enough ldquo;manlyrdquo; looking fabrics from my stash to cut all the rectangles (3.5 x 6.5 inches) and lay them out in an alternating light/dark set of 15 squares per row. I found the plaid fabric on sale at Thimbles lsquo;n Threads, where I had earlier purchased the Minkee backing (also on sale -- $6.50 a yard). My machine quilter Wendy used a puffy batting to make this comforter-style quilt ndash; just what the man asked for!
