Mi Casa Es Su Casa

A wide variety of fabrics, mostly batiks, make up the 80 little houses in this quilt. The inner border made of one-inch squares was a personal addition to the original pattern. I worked on this quilt for a couple of years, finally completing it in October 2013. This quilt was accepted for a juried exhibition at the Springville Museum of Arts in the summer of 2014.

Melanie used eight different thread changes and a variety of patterns throughout the beautifully envisioned quilting here.
