Grow A Pear

This is a totally serendipitous quilt.
In making my quilt called “The Avenues,” I rescued the wasted corners
from flying geese rooftop blocks to make a freebie pile of 80 half-square
triangles. Still in love with the Grapemist Kona Solid background fabric
from that quilt and having lots left over, I started playing with 2.5-inch
squares and a setting that intrigued me. Rummaging around for borders,
I came across a big chunk of this scrumptious pear fabric from my 2019
Block-of-the-Month quilt, and I fell in love with it all over again.
So basically, a whole bunch of misfits, oddballs, and neglected wonders
jumped into this quilt and let me enjoy the experience.
