I followed directions from Lynne Tyler’s
“Liberated Birds” pattern to make the
free-hand whimsical winged beings for this quilt.
I experimented with various layouts and ultimately
decided to add flying geese to the design.
They are variously 1 x 2 inches and .75 x 1.5 inches in size.
