The Three Graces

The Three Graces

In Greek mythology, the goddesses of such attributes as charm, beauty, and creativity are called The Three Graces. For this quilt, these Graces in human form are Barbara McFarlane, Rebecca Taylor, and Dana Baker, each of whom graciously gave me the variety of fabrics that came together in this lovely celebration of shape, balance, and color.br/ br/This quilt had its challenges - the pieces of fabric were limited in scope and size; much of it was in 4-inch strips. While primarily from three different colorways in Amy Butler's now-discontinued quot;Temple Flowersquot; line, this quilt also needed a few other outlier friends to chime in.br/ br/This is a quilt that quot;talkedquot; to me all along the way, first insisting that it be made and then telling me, often loudly, what it wanted done.br/ br/Pieced bybr/strongKathy Cracroft Wilhelmsen/strongbr/(Draper, Utah - 2019)br/ br/strongPattern/strong:br/A variation of quot;Dawnstarquot; bybr/Wende Sheppard in emstrongQuiltmaker/strong/em, br/July/August 2016
