Grandpa's Pockets

Grandpa's Pockets

Pieced and quilted by Kathy Cracroft Wilhelmsen (Draper, Utah ndash; 2007).
Made from quilterrsquo;s flannel and old blue jeans.

Grandchildren love to see what coins, trinkets, or other surprises might be hiding in grandparsquo;s pockets. This quilt is made to hold little treasures, and it could start a fun family tradition for when grandchildren come to visit.

I donated this quilt to Ami Simmsrsquo; Alzheimerrsquo;s Art Quilt Initiative, and it sold for $55 at the Houston International Quilt Festival in November 2007. I dedicated it to the dear, good grandpas who lived at the same Alzheimerrsquo;s facility where my mother resided.

Size is 9 x 12 inches.
