On The Green
Pieced by Kathy Cracroft Wilhelmsen (Draper, Utah ndash; December 2007).
This quilt is a surprise anniversary gift for my husband Don. The pattern is from the book Lickety Split Quilts by Laurie Bevan. It is made of twelve 15-inch Sisterrsquo;s Choice blocks set on point with plain 15-inch alternating blocks.
Quilt Etc. had a big Labor Day sale with many fabrics $1.99 a yard. I gave myself the challenge to make this quilt using only quality fabrics that were on sale at these deep discounts. None of the yardage came from the same line, but the fabricsa all coordinated and complemented one another beautifully.
Green is Donrsquo;s favorite color, and of course golf is his favorite sport, and so I give this quilt to him with love and best wishes for happiness and success ldquo;on the green.rdquo;
